WordCamp Tokyo 2016 will be held on 17-18 September, 2016. It will be the 9th WordCamp to take place in the Tokyo area (eight in Tokyo and one in Yokohama). For the first time in Japanese WordCamp, we will have an English track!
I would like to attend the event!
Great! Ticket sales are now open. Ticket page is mainly available only in Japanese (sorry!), but details in English are available on this page.
I would like to speak at the event!
We have already closed the application for speaker submission, and we will be announcing the speakers very soon. However, we have some rooms for Lightning Talks.
- Lightning Talks (LT) are short 5 minutes talks.
- We will accept English LTs, but for now, there will be no English to Japanese translation. We will continue to explore the way to provide one, however.
If you are interested in doing LT, please submit your LT application from here.

For Day 1, we are planning to hold three tracks. One track will be conducted in English, and other two will be in Japanese.
For the English track, we are hoping to provide simultaneous interpretations from English to Japanese ( and vice versa if needed), so that non-English speaking attendees will be able to participate.
